Eric Butterworth lectures on his understanding of Jesus Christ.

Theme: Jesus Christ, the Example—Not the Exception

“For more than 50 years I have been on a personal quest to know what [Jesus] was about.” Butterworth believed Jesus was “the great discoverer of the innate divinity of man, the supreme revealer of the truth about man …” It was Jesus the man who not only defined humanity’s divinity or the Christ presence within, but he claimed each person could do this as well. As scripture reads, “Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these” (John 14:12).

While most people believe Jesus Christ is the exception, the only son of God, Butterworth affirmed that Jesus is the example from which we can all learn. As we follow the Way Shower, we can “develop the quality of consciousness that Jesus developed … He proved that there is always enough power within you to accomplish whatever you need.”
